Ca’s Patro March Restaurant in Cala Deià
Ca’s Patro March is perched at the side of the rocky Cala Deià in Mallorca’s Tramuntana mountains. My cousin is getting married here in Mallorca and Mum was set on booking dinner in the restaurant after it skyrocketed to fame in 2016. Ca’s Patro March was the location of some scenes in the internationally screened TV mini-series ‘The Night Manager’, based on the John Le Carré book and primarily filmed on Mallorca. The drama of the fake kidnapping attempt wasn’t all that had viewers mesmerised: suddenly everyone wanted to eat in this idyllic spot by the crystal-clear Mediterranean.
You can arrive by boat, then climb the stone steps up to the restaurant, but we took the less glamorous drive down to Cala Deià and parked about a five-minute walk from the restaurant.
This rustic seasonal restaurant isn’t fancy, but fish and shellfish are fresh – delicious. The furnishings are simple, and the ‘roof’ over your head wouldn’t keep out a sudden downpour, but who cares when the seafood and location are so appealing?
