Baltimore
I visited Baltimore on a business trip but what an awesome city!
I stayed at the Four Seasons (amazing service) which is in the stunning inner harbour. Shopping in the area was great but I was keen to get out into the ‘real’ Baltimore which is famous for the art and music scene.
After attending a few business events. I had a full day to explore Baltimore and decided to do a Segway Tour of the harbour and Federal Hill. I would absolutely recommend the tour with ‘Segs in the City’, the guide was awesome and provided loads of information about the city and its history.
Baltimore is noted for its near-omnipresent rowhouses. Rowhouses have been a feature of Baltimore architecture since the 1790s, with early examples of the style still standing in the Federal Hill and Fells Point neighbourhoods.
The tour allowed us to segway past; the Douglas Myers Museum, Shot Tower, Star Spangled Banner House, Aquarium, Coast Guard Cutter Taney, Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse, World Trade Center, USS Constellation, Federal Hill and surrounds, Little Italy, Harbor East and Fell’s Point.
