Sibiu
Sibiu was the final stop for us on our trip around Romania. The cobbled streets and imposing medieval walls were just as beautiful as the other incredible cities and towns we have visited.
We visited the tourist information office and collected a map of the second largest city in Trasylvania which had a self-guided walking tour. It was awesome, we found the map easy to follow and ticked of many of the main attractions from the romantic squares, the fortifications (the Thick Tower, the Harquebuses Tower, the Potters Tower, the Carpenters Tower, the Council Tower), the churches, Liars Bridge, and many historical buildings including The Journeyman’s house.
Liars Bridge got its name from the stories and tall tails that the nearby hagglers would tell people. We were also told by some locals that legend said that if a lie was told on the bridge it would crumble.
